Writing and Leaps of Faith

Since I am into Philippine Speculative Fiction these days, Anne decided to bring me with her to PinoyWriMo's Kick Off Event for November. Just like Anne, a lot of writers are into the challenge of creating a novel every November. Aptly called NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), it is an event throughout the world were writers of all genres create a novel with a minimum of 50,000 words. Apparently there are different groups for different months, but the first one has always been November.

Of Tiktik and other Asuang Stories

Since we never had our "stockholders meeting" for the 3rd quarter, Geo, Anne and I decided to watch Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles just to see if it was good. Since it's from GMA, I have my reservations but somehow I want to give it a chance. There was a sale in Mega and we want to get away from the horde, so we went to Shang instead. The movie would be shown in the Premiere Cinema and it would be a first for me to watch it there, so I was a bit excited too.

Afternoon Eat and Talk

After more than a year, I decided to post since I have time on my hands. Work was the preoccupation since I last wrote something, and nothing stellar happened for the past months. And now I'm back!

Yesterday, Anne and I met and we decided to have an afternoon coffee. (One of the signs that we are well on our road to aging.) Chit chat and catching up was the goal not to mention escaping from the afternoon heat inside the house. We decided to go to the nearby Moonleaf Tea Shop in Congressional, but we ended up in one of the establishments beside it:

A Tour for the Palate

Left with nothing to do on a weekend, I asked Dang to go out with me. She decided to meet at Galleria so we met at 6PM. Work has been eating out our weekends for the past 2 weeks so it is but high time that we had our dose of retail therapy. I had the guns to splurge on food, but she's armed and ready with her CC for other stuff.

The Day That Ended at Gorky's

This week was uneventful since I had to focus on work. Its EOM so we need to chase targets. I decided to post what happened last weekend instead. Bleh. The team was surprisingly complete for a Thursday so the gang decided to have a quickie at the nearby Gorky's to have some pasta and wings. It's a short walk from Ecoplaza and it was the nearest stop we can get close to good food.

Saturday is for Splurging

Nothing left to do on a Saturday afternoon, I asked Dang if we could meet up so I can pay for the Bora tickets. Good thing she was too lazy to work and agreed to meet me in Gateway. I was able to pay for the tickets and I'm thrilled that we're a step closer to our Bora vacation.

Mid-week Eat Out

Rache was able to drop by the office for some deliveries, so we decided to eat out after work since she's on kaladkarin mode. I had some errands to do so we went to Glorieta to get some stuff and we were able to have a short chat while strolling around the mall. After 30 minutes of walking we decided to fill our tummies. Good thing she was on pig-out mode as I was in the mood too. We went to Greenbelt to look for a resto, but I had my thoughts elsewhere. I brought her to Ayala Triangle instead.
